Job Title: Conveyancing Legal Secretary
Location: Perth / Dundee (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: £27,000 – £29,000

Overview
Anderson Beaton Lamond (ABL) is a well-established and highly regarded Scottish law firm, known for delivering exceptional legal services across residential property, private client and family law.
Due to continued growth within the Property team, ABL are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to support a busy and collaborative team across their Perth/Dundee offices.

Key Responsibilities
• Providing full secretarial support to Conveyancing Solicitors and Fee Earners
• Preparing legal documentation including Missives, Dispositions, Standard Securities and LBTT submissions
• Managing audio and copy typing with high accuracy
• Handling client communication via telephone, email and in person
• Managing diaries, appointments and key transaction deadlines
• Opening, maintaining and closing files in line with compliance procedures
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
• Assisting with post-settlement work and Land Register submissions
• Supporting billing and general administration across the team
Key Requirements
• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within conveyancing / residential property
• Strong understanding of the Scottish conveyancing process
• Excellent typing and document production skills
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy workload
• Professional and confident communication skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
Desirable
• Experience with Registers of Scotland and LBTT submissions
• Familiarity with legal case management systems
• Experience within a high-volume residential property environment
