Job description

A leading professional services firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Corporate Tax Manager to join its growing national tax practice. Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, from entrepreneurial businesses and private groups to large multinational organisations, you'll provide commercially focused tax advice while managing key client relationships and supporting the delivery of complex corporate tax projects. The Opportunity As a Corporate Tax Manager, you'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser on both compliance and strategic tax matters. You'll work alongside experienced Partners and Directors on technically challenging projects, collaborating with specialists across the wider business to deliver integrated solutions that help clients achieve their commercial objectives. With a strong balance of advisory and compliance work, this role offers genuine variety, significant client exposure and excellent opportunities for progression. Key Responsibilities • Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, acting as their primary day-to-day adviser. • Oversee the delivery of high-quality corporate tax compliance work, ensuring deadlines and technical standards are met. • Advise clients on a range of corporate tax matters including restructures, international tax, group reorganisations, financing and transaction-related projects. • Build strong client relationships, providing commercially focused advice tailored to business objectives. • Collaborate with Partners, Directors and specialists across Tax and the wider advisory practice. • Review tax computations, returns and supporting work prepared by junior colleagues. • Identify opportunities to provide additional services and contribute to business development initiatives. • Coach, mentor and develop junior members of the team, supporting their technical and professional growth. • Keep abreast of changes in UK tax legislation and translate complex developments into practical advice for clients. About You • ACA, CTA or an equivalent professional qualification. • Strong UK Corporate Tax experience gained within a professional services environment. • A good balance of corporate tax compliance and advisory experience. • Excellent technical knowledge combined with a commercial, solutions-focused mindset. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders. • Experience managing multiple client engagements and delivering work to a high standard. • A collaborative leadership style with experience reviewing work and developing junior colleagues.
