Your Role This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Costs Draftsperson to join a growing national team. You will be involved in the preparation of Bills of Costs for Detailed and Provisional Assessment, as well as the litigation of bills through the court process. There may also be opportunities to attend advocacy hearings, subject to experience and agreement with senior fee earners. The role also involves regular client interaction, providing updates, taking instructions, and offering technical support to fee earners across the wider legal team. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in costs, either in-house or within an external costs supplier environment. About You • Experience in costs drafting (in-house or external provider) • Strong interest in building a career within costs law • Good understanding of legal procedures • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines • Strong communication skills and professional manner • Comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders • Able to work independently and as part of a wider team • Desirable: ACL qualification or ILEX Part 1 (Year 1) • Desirable: exposure to other legal departments or broader litigation experience Benefits • 25 days holiday + BH (option to buy more) • Generous pension scheme • Hybrid working - 1 day per week in the office • Health membership, including medical cashback
