Solicitor - Court of Protection (0-4 PQE) Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Location: Swindon (Hybrid Working) Yolk Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading UK law firm to recruit a Solicitor into its highly regarded Court of Protection team in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with Court of Protection experience looking to join a supportive, specialist team that is recognised for delivering exceptional client care. You'll work alongside experienced lawyers on high-quality Property & Affairs matters while developing your own caseload within a collaborative environment offering genuine long-term progression. What you will be doing in this role You'll manage your own portfolio of Court of Protection matters while supporting senior colleagues on more complex cases. The role offers excellent exposure to a varied caseload and the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients, families and professional contacts. Your responsibilities will include: • Managing Property & Affairs Court of Protection matters from instruction through to conclusion. • Supporting Court-appointed Deputies with the day-to-day management of clients' financial affairs. • Working closely with vulnerable clients, families, carers and external professionals. • Ensuring decisions are made in clients' best interests and in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act. • Managing client assets, finances and ongoing case administration. • Preparing legal documentation, applications and correspondence. • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. • Assisting senior lawyers on higher-value and more complex matters. The experience you will have: We're keen to speak with Solicitors who have: • 0-4 years' PQE (applications outside this range will also be considered where experience is relevant). • Previous Court of Protection experience or a seat in Private Client at minimum • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and client care skills. • A compassionate and empathetic approach when working with vulnerable clients. • The ability to manage competing priorities whilst delivering an exceptional client experience.
