Secondary School Cover Supervisor
• Annual Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (FTE)
• Location: Guildford, Surrey
• Job Type: Permanent, term time only
We are seeking a dedicated Secondary School Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Guildford. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in education and a passion for working with secondary-aged students. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering lessons across various year groups and subjects, ensuring a consistent learning experience in the absence of the regular teacher.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes across different subjects, ensuring that pre-set work is completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure student engagement.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of different classes and student groups.
• Provide feedback on student performance and classroom issues to the regular teaching staff.
• Assist with other educational activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• GCSEs at grade B or equivalent, including Maths and English.
• Degree in a relevant subject area.
• Strong interest in working with secondary-aged students or pursuing a career in teaching.
• Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
