The RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-planned lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task. You will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment while supporting schools across the Barnsley area. Key Responsibilities • Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of secondary subjects. • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. • Ensure students remain engaged and complete the work set. • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. • Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and lesson outcomes. • Adapt confidently to different school environments and year groups. Requirements • Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Confidence leading a classroom independently. • A flexible, professional, and positive attitude. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. • Right to work in the UK. • Ability to travel to schools across the Barnsley area.
