Cover Supervisors Required - Join Tradewind's Talent Pool for September 2026 Location: Various Secondary Partnership Schools Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Day-to-Day, Short-Term and Long-Term Opportunities Salary: Competitive daily rates Are you looking to gain valuable experience in secondary education, or are you an experienced Cover Supervisor seeking flexible work opportunities? Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our pool of candidates for September 2026. We work closely with a range of well-established secondary partnership schools and have a variety of opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, short-term assignments, and long-term placements. The RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent. You will supervise whole classes, ensure students remain on task, and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Key Responsibilities • Deliver pre-set lesson plans provided by teaching staff. • Supervise classes across a range of subject areas. • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment. • Ensure students remain engaged and complete assigned work. • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and student behaviour. • Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety procedures at all times. • Build positive relationships with students and school staff. Requirements • Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar setting is desirable. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • A flexible, proactive, and professional approach. • Ability to adapt to different school environments. • Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). • Right to work in the UK. • Two satisfactory professional references.
