Craftsman Assistant (Mechanical Engineering)

• To be conversant with Electrical and Mechanical systems • Use relevant tools, plant and equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with manufacturers instructions. • Assist higher skilled grades on all types of maintenance, new works and repairs. • Carry out semi-skilled duties independently and without routine supervision, and the ability to prioritise workload. • On completion of relevant training carry out semi-skilled work on other trades (electrical and mechanical). • Carry out maintenance on a wide range of heating systems, ventilation systems, water systems, boiler plant and observe safe working practices. • Carry out maintenance on drainage systems (above and below ground) using appropriate pressure washers, breathing apparatus and tools.
