Senior Credit Controller Felixstowe | £30,000 - £32,000 | Full-Time, Office Based Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a role where you can make a real impact, work autonomously, and become a key member of an established finance team? We are working with a well-respected international business operating within the transport and logistics sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and confident Senior Credit Controller to join their Accounts Receivable function in Felixstowe. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys taking ownership, building relationships, and driving collections through a hands-on and customer-focused approach. The Role Joining a supportive Accounts Receivable team, you'll take responsibility for managing a section of a substantial customer ledger while helping to support and guide more junior team members. Key responsibilities include: • Managing and collecting outstanding debt across a high-volume ledger • Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders • Investigating and resolving account queries efficiently • Logging and monitoring customer disputes through to resolution • Chasing overdue invoices via telephone and email • Reviewing customer accounts and identifying potential risks • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all actions are documented • Supporting month-end activities where required • Assisting with process improvements and sharing best practice across the team • Handling general administrative duties associated with credit control About You We're looking for someone who brings strong credit control experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will ideally possess: • Proven experience within a Credit Control position • Confidence managing your own workload independently • Strong organisational and administrative abilities • Excellent attention to detail • A proactive and solution-focused mindset • Strong communication skills, particularly over the telephone • The confidence to pick up the phone and build rapport with customers • Ability to investigate issues and resolve queries effectively • Experience working within a high-volume environment Experience within transport, shipping, logistics or freight forwarding would be advantageous, but is by no means essential.
