Credit Controller

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and collaborative finance team where you'll play a key role in improving cash collection performance, building strong customer relationships and supporting the wider business. We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment and thrives on resolving customer queries, building relationships and making a real impact. Key Responsibilities • Manage your own portfolio of customer accounts. • Proactively collect outstanding debt whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships. • Investigate and resolve customer invoice and account queries. • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Operations and Customer Services. • Monitor aged debt and implement effective collection strategies. • Produce aged debt reports and provide regular updates to the Credit Manager. • Allocate cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts. • Review customer accounts against agreed credit terms. • Support month-end reporting and cash collection performance. • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce aged debt. About You We're looking for someone who has: • Previous Credit Control experience within a commercial environment. • Experience managing a high-volume sales ledger. • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills. • Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to manage difficult conversations professionally. • Experience resolving customer account and invoice queries. • Strong stakeholder management skills. • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload. • Good Microsoft Excel skills. • Experience using Sage would be advantageous but is not essential. • A positive, proactive approach and a genuine desire to improve processes.
