Job description

Our client, an international bank, is seeking a Credit Legal DocumentationAnalyst to join its team. This role is ideal for someone with a legal background who has experience reviewing and interpreting legal documentation within a banking or financial services environment. You will be responsible for reviewing lending documentation to ensure all credit facilities are accurately documented, legally compliant and aligned with approved credit terms. Working closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Operations and external legal counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of corporate lending transactions. Key Responsibilities • Review legal documentation relating to corporate lending and credit facilities. • Analyse facility agreements, loan agreements, security documents, guarantees and supporting legal documentation. • Ensure documentation accurately reflects approved credit terms and internal policies. • Identify legal and documentation risks, inconsistencies and missing information. • Liaise with internal Legal, Credit Risk, Relationship Managers and external solicitors to resolve documentation issues. • Review Conditions Precedent (CPs) and Conditions Subsequent (CSs) before loan drawdown. • Support the completion of new lending transactions, amendments, renewals and refinancing transactions. • Ensure documentation complies with regulatory requirements and the Bank's internal credit policies. • Maintain accurate legal documentation records. • Assist with audit and compliance requests where required. • Contribute to continuous improvements within the documentation review process. Experience Required • Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification. • Experience reviewing legal documentation within a banking, financial services or law firm environment. • Strong understanding of loan documentation, facility agreements and security documentation. • Experience working with corporate lending or commercial banking documentation would be highly advantageous. • Excellent legal drafting and document interpretation skills. • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Ability to identify legal risks and documentation discrepancies. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
