Job description

Your new company You will be working for a local council in Oxfordshire. Your new role We are looking for a data analyst who has experience with Power BI reporting, SQL and an internal system called QL (training given) and is able to develop reports and dashboards, track performance and identify trends. Good all-round knowledge of Excel is also required, as some reports are still in Excel waiting to be moved into Power Bi, Main Duties • To support the department's statistical returns to the Government, such as HCLIC, tenant satisfaction measures, and data on council-owned housing stock. Liaising with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities to ensure these returns are accurate and submitted within statutory deadlines. • To work with managers and teams across the service to ensure relevant and necessary data is available to inform service delivery and service development, and to assist with training as necessary to promote excellent data quality • To develop reports and dashboards to track performance (QL, Power BI, SQL), identify trends and inform service delivery across Housing Services. • To have an in-depth knowledge of departmental and corporate IT systems, to effectively and accurately use, and support colleagues, to ensure that customer information and outcomes are recorded correctly across the organisation • To support the management of FOI requests. What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced data analyst with ideally previous council experience. You will have good technical experience with Power BI, SQL and Excel. If you have done any government returns this would be highly desirable. Interviews are next Thursday and Friday so you need to be available to interview.
