Data Engineer/Integration Analyst Python

We’re supporting a Hedge Fund who are looking to hire a Data Engineering/Integration Specialist to join a highly technical team responsible for delivering critical data solutions across a global trading and research environment. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of data, technology and financial markets, helping to transform raw information into trusted datasets that support sophisticated investment strategies. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding data coverage, improving automation and ensuring information is delivered accurately and efficiently to end users. What You'll Be Doing • Developing scalable solutions for sourcing, processing and distributing large volumes of data • Streamlining the onboarding of new data providers through automation and engineering best practices • Enhancing the underlying data platform to improve reliability, performance and maintainability • Implementing controls and monitoring capabilities to identify issues before they impact users • Working with a diverse range of market and non-traditional datasets • Partnering with research and trading teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of a modern, cloud-based data ecosystem What They’re Looking For • Strong experience using Python & SQL • Exposure to cloud environments, ideally AWS • Experience working with large datasets and data-centric applications • Understanding of database technologies and modern data storage solutions • Familiarity with source control and collaborative development practices This role offers the chance to work in a highly analytical environment where data is a core competitive advantage.
