Data Governance Officer

Enterprise Data Governance Manager Milton Keynes | Hybrid Working (3 days office) Up to £90,000 + Excellent Benefits We are currently supporting a well-established Financial Services organisation looking to hire an experienced Data Governance Manager to join their growing data team. This is a senior opportunity for someone with strong Data Governance experience who can lead the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide Data Governance framework, helping the business improve how data is managed, controlled and utilised across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, technology teams and wider business functions, you will play a key role in driving Data Governance strategy, improving Data Quality, implementing Data Governance controls and embedding strong Data Governance standards across the business. Key responsibilities: • Lead the development and implementation of the company's Data Governance Framework • Establish and improve Data Governance policies, controls and standards • Drive improvements in Data Quality Management and wider Data Governance processes • Implement Data Ownership and Data Stewardship frameworks across the business • Work closely with Data, Technology and Analytics teams on wider Data Governance initiatives • Develop strong Metadata Management and improve visibility across enterprise data assets • Support wider Data Governance strategy and long-term business transformation projects • Manage a team and help build out the wider Data Governance capability • Engage senior stakeholders to ensure strong adoption of Data Governance best practice We are looking for: • Strong background in Data Governance, Enterprise Data Governance or Data Management • Experience building or improving Data Governance frameworks within a complex organisation • Strong understanding of Data Governance controls, Data Quality and Data Stewardship • Experience working within Financial Services or another highly regulated environment preferred • Experience managing teams and working with senior stakeholders • Background in wider Data Governance transformation programmes would be beneficial This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Governance Manager, Senior Data Governance Manager, Head of Data Governance or Enterprise Data Governance professional looking to join a business investing heavily in its long-term Data Governance and Data Strategy capability.
