Job description

Data Protection Officer Location: Remote Working Contract: Temporary (2-3 Months) Salary: £18 per hour Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Data Protection Administrator to join a Birmingham-based organisation on a temporary basis for an initial 2-3 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised administrator with strong attention to detail who is looking to gain experience within data protection and compliance. Working as part of a busy team, you will provide administrative support across a range of GDPR and information governance activities, ensuring records are maintained accurately and requests are handled efficiently. Key Responsibilities: • Providing administrative support to the Data Protection and Compliance team. • Logging and tracking data protection requests and correspondence. • Assisting with Subject Access Requests (SARs) and maintaining accurate records. • Updating and maintaining confidential databases and document management systems. • Preparing documentation, reports and correspondence. • Supporting the team with data audits and compliance activities. • Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather information where required. • Ensuring all work is completed in line with GDPR and company policies. About You: • Previous experience within an legal administrative role - with experience of handling Subject Access Requests. • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. • Confident working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Experience working with confidential information is essential. • Previous exposure to GDPR, data protection or compliance would be advantageous What's on Offer: • Immediate start. • Remote working • Initial 2-3 month temporary assignment with the potential to be extended. • Competitive hourly rate. • Opportunity to gain valuable experience within data protection and compliance.
