About the RoleWe are seeking a talented Data Scientist to develop and deploy machine learning solutions that directly influence business decisions, enhance customer experiences, and improve operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for translating complex business challenges into scalable data science solutions, building and deploying robust machine learning models, and delivering measurable business impact. Working closely with Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Teams, and Business Stakeholders, you will help develop production-ready solutions that drive innovation and performance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.
• Translate business requirements into practical data science solutions.
• Build scalable data pipelines and end-to-end machine learning workflows.
• Conduct experimentation, model evaluation, and performance analysis using both statistical and business success metrics.
• Work with large-scale datasets in distributed computing environments.
• Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and Software Engineers to productionise models and ensure operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes through advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies within Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives and promote best practices across the wider data community.
• Support the development of innovative solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong foundation in Machine Learning, Statistics, and Data Science methodologies.
• Extensive experience developing and implementing machine learning models using Python.
• Proven experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks.
• Experience taking machine learning solutions from concept through to production deployment.
• Strong software engineering practices, including:
• Version control (Git)
• Code testing and validation
• Writing maintainable and reusable code
• Hands-on experience developing, tuning, and deploying machine learning models using frameworks and libraries such as:
• Scikit-learn
• XGBoost
• TensorFlow
• PyTorch
• Equivalent machine learning frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a scientific and data-driven mindset.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent qualification in a quantitative discipline such as:
• Mathematics
• Computer Science
• Statistics
• Engineering
• Physics
• Related fields
• Equivalent commercial experience within a Data Science role will also be considered.
