Job description
As a Senior Support Officer within our Day Services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals accessing our services. This is a hands-on and rewarding role where you will lead by example, ensuring that those who attend our centres are supported to achieve their goals, maintain independence, and enjoy meaningful daily experiences.
You will take the lead in planning and delivering creative and inclusive activity programmes that reflect the interests, needs, and aspirations of the people we support. Using a positive risk-taking approach, you will help individuals build confidence, develop skills, and remain active members of their community.
A key part of the role involves working closely with service users, their families, and professionals such as social workers and health practitioners to develop and review tailored support plans. As a named link worker, you will build strong, trusting relationships and act as a consistent point of contact, ensuring continuity of care and support.
You will also take on additional responsibilities as a senior member of the team, including supporting, guiding, and supervising junior staff, promoting best practice, and ensuring high standards are maintained across the service. This includes overseeing medication administration, contributing to safeguarding practices, and helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for everyone.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference, confident in taking the lead, and committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred support within a collaborative team.
