Job description

We have a brand new and exciting position for a Deputy Manager to join a thriving domiciliary care provider based in the Wandsworth area, rated "Outstanding" with the CQC. You will support in the day-to-day running of a domiciliary care service, ensuring high quality, person-centred care is delivered in line with regulatory standards. The Deputy Manager will help lead, supervise, and develop care staff while maintaining compliance and promoting excellent service delivery. Duties include: • Support the management of care services to ensure safe, effective, and responsive care. • Ensure care plans are person-centred, up-to-date, and regularly reviewed. • Conduct quality monitoring, spot checks, and audits. • Promote dignity, independence, and choice for service users. • Assist in recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising care staff. • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the care team. • Participate in disciplinary and performance management processes where required. • Support inspections and ensure readiness at all times. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records. • Assist with care assessments, risk assessments, and care package reviews. • Ensure continuity of care and effective scheduling. • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies. • Promote a safe working environment for staff and service users. • Ensure safeguarding policies are followed and concerns are reported appropriately. What you will need: • Strong experience in domiciliary care setting. • Strong knowledge of care standards and regulations. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • Ability to manage staff and prioritise workload. • Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
