Job description

Our client, is currently recruiting for a Domestic Abuse Service Manager in central Southampton on a permanent basis. The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The salary for this role is £34,000. The ideal candidate will have management experience within a Domestic Abuse, Supported Housing, Housing, Support Work or similar environment, a strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management, and experience leading high-performing teams. Duties will include (but are not limited to): • Managing a team of support staff, providing supervision, performance management and wellbeing support • Overseeing the delivery of person-centred, trauma-informed support services for survivors of domestic abuse • Monitoring service performance, quality standards and KPI delivery, implementing improvements where required • Managing allocations, lettings, voids, arrears and income collection within the service • Reviewing risk assessments, support plans, safeguarding referrals and incident reports • Overseeing health and safety compliance, including statutory checks and record keeping • Managing complaints, service reports and commissioner reporting requirements • Participating in service development initiatives, tender submissions and mobilisation of new services • Representing the organisation at partnership meetings, networking events and stakeholder forums Experience required: • Experience in a management or team leader role • Experience managing and developing staff teams • Experience working with customers with multiple and complex needs • Experience of safeguarding, risk assessment and support planning • Experience of performance management and service improvement Skills, knowledge and expertise required: • Knowledge of domestic abuse legislation, best practice and support services • Understanding of housing law and tenancy management • Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience • Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder management skills • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies and commissioners • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel • Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion • Knowledge of trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice Working hours: • Full-time • Participation in an on-call rota as required Please note that you require recent relevant experience to apply for this role.
