Job description
• To liaise with professionals e.g. GP at start of treatment, at review and discharge
• To provide evidence-based drug and alcohol interventions in line with guidelines e.g. NICE, CQC, in a variety of settings promoting flexibility and choice for service users.
• To maximise engagement with service users and reduce the risks both to the individual service user and to others affected by their drug and/or alcohol misuse.
• To facilitate service users and carers to be involved in care and treatment.
• To work as an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring effective communication with other team members and other professionals.
• To attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency clinical meetings.
• To receive and participate in clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policy.
