Early Years Lecturer

Job Title: Early Years Lecturer Location: Various Locations Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: Ongoing opportunities available About the Role We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on learners preparing for careers within the Early Years sector. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and Early Years practice while helping them achieve their academic and professional goals. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Early Years lessons. • Teach Early Years programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities. • Assess, monitor, and track student progress. • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners. • Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support learners in developing their understanding of child development, safeguarding, and effective Early Years practice. • Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression. Requirements • Relevant degree or qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Childhood Studies, Education, or a related subject. • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent). • Experience teaching Early Years within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. • Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Early Years education. • Industry experience within an Early Years or childcare setting is desirable.
