Job description

Key tasks that the post holder will need to undertake are: • Act as a subject matter expert to drive forward and implement NHS Englands objectives and vision for thefuture of Clinical Endoscopist education. • Be responsible and accountable for teaching and devising specialist training and development programmes forClinical Endoscopists across the East of England. • Ensure that the Clinical Endoscopists follow appropriate training programmes and are supported appropriately • To develop regional networks to provide teaching and peer support for Clinical Endoscopists and Endoscopy colleagues. • To work closely with multiple stakeholders in identifying key steps to enable the transition of the Clinical Endoscopist training programme from NHS England to the East of England Endoscopy Training Academy. This will require the post holder to utilise their judgement skills to deal with conflicting demands in reference to the delivery of the Academy and service requirements within the region. • To lead regionally on the monitoring and audit of Clinical Endoscopist training posts with regards to quality and consistency. • Be responsible for initiating and implementing research and development programmes as appropriate to the Clinical Endoscopist workforce across the East of England, to help support the overall objectives of the East of England Endoscopy Academy, and the national programme.
