Electrical Technician

Performs work including activities which are complex and/or non-routine. Responsible for technical fault finding, diagnosis, repair, acceptance testing and calibration on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment, e.g. electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, building control and automation, standby generator plant, security access control, nurse call systems and lifts. This is not an exhaustive list but provides examples of the type and range of systems and equipment worked on.Undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and capital work across the Trust as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.Assists the Electrical Operations Officer to deliver business plans, review planned maintenance procedures and support the organisation.The role would be principally based on either the Basingstoke site or Winchester site (also covering Andover), however dependant on the needs of the service it may be required to work on the other site locations.
