Job description

Owen Daniels are recruiting for an Electronics Assembly Team Leader on behalf of a growing engineering and manufacturing business. This opportunity would suit an experienced Electronics Assembly Technician, Senior Assembler or Production Technician looking to take the next step in their career. The company is happy to provide training and support on the management side of the role, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and a genuine interest in leading and developing others. Whether you have previous supervisory experience or have simply mentored apprentices, trained new starters or acted as a go-to person within your team, we would be interested in hearing from you. The Role • Lead a team of electronics assemblers and technicians within a busy manufacturing environment. • Support the day-to-day running of assembly activities, ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved. • Provide technical support and guidance to team members. • Assist with workload planning and resource allocation. • Support the training and development of new and existing employees. • Monitor quality standards and ensure assembly work is completed to specification. • Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Remain hands-on when required, supporting assembly, testing and fault-finding activities. The Candidate • Previous experience within electronics assembly, electro-mechanical assembly or electronic manufacturing. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical documentation. • Strong hands-on technical skills with soldering, wiring, PCB assembly or electro-mechanical assembly. • An interest in leadership and developing a career in team management. • Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting apprentices, trainees or junior staff would be highly advantageous. • Positive and proactive approach with strong communication skills. • Organised and capable of managing priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
