Our HR Shared Services team operates a hybrid working pattern, spending four days a week in the office and one day working from home. What are my responsibilities as an ER Advisor? • Partner with managers through coaching and mentoring to ensure that casework is resolved in a professional manner, in line with policy timescales. Advisory options are presented to our managers in a way that they can use advice to make their own commercial decisions as well as understand the risk and wider implications. • Respond to employee queries and concerns without undermining line manager relationship and escalating concerns appropriately. • Responsible for the preparation of case documentation as necessary, ensuring the investigation/hearing manager is ultimately the owner of the final documentation. • Work closely with managers in order to develop an understanding of the business and to establish a professional working relationship with managers and colleagues at all levels. What do I need to qualify for this ER Advisor role? • Experience managing a portfolio of ER cases, ideally within a shared services environment • Good knowledge of employment law/employee relations issues through working within an HR team. • Ability to understand the crux of the situation and quickly gain trust. • Building solid working relationships and effectively communicate at any level. • Ability to respond to changing demands and priorities There is a continuous demand from the business for ER support and the pace at which the business operates means a quick and commercially focused response is required by the role, therefore credibility and the ability to influence are essential.
