Employment Solicitor – Birmingham
About the Role
An established and highly regarded law firm based just outside Birmingham is looking to recruit an experienced Employment Solicitor (2+ PQE) to support and work closely with the Employment Partner. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing employment law department with a strong and expanding client base.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Partner who founded the department six years ago and has since developed a steady and diverse caseload. You will handle a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including both claimant and respondent work, with the opportunity to gradually build and develop your own caseload.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters
• Advising on both contentious and non-contentious issues
• Supporting the Employment Partner on complex cases
• Acting for both employers and employees (claimant experience essential)
• Contributing to the continued growth of the department

This well-established, close-knit firm is led by three partners and supported by a small, collaborative team of around 10 staff. Known for its friendly and supportive working culture, the firm places a strong emphasis on teamwork, professionalism and delivering high-quality legal services.
Located just outside Birmingham, the office benefits from easy access and free on-street parking, offering a more relaxed alternative to city-centre commuting.
Your Requirements
• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE in Employment Law
• Proven experience handling claimant employment matters
• Ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and client care skills
• A team-oriented approach with a proactive mindset
