Job description

You will be working in the Building Operating Unit where we are responsible for a major project in Cambridgeshire. We are currently looking for an Engineer who will be responsible for effectively and professionally plan, manage, coordinate and monitor the Engineering aspects of sub-contract packages associated with the construction works including excavation, drainage, HV cabling and substation build to assist with the successful delivery of a large defence project. As the Engineer you will: • Provide progress updates to the rest of the team. • Manage 3rd party survey teams and liaise with external stakeholders (base personnel). • Manage the site engineering activities in accordance with Skanska's Environmental, Health, Safety and quality procedures. • Lead both the pre-construction and construction phase of utility works. • Site management and engineering duties including progress checks against programme, QA checks, H&S compliance etc. We are looking for: • Minimum BTEC HNC/HND or BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience on projects of equivalent complexity. • Experience with HV (UKPN) and sewage pumps / pipework. • Temporary Works Coordinator certificate a requirement. • Quality management skills.
