Do you want to lead a high-performing engineering team delivering complex substation, cable and overhead line projects across the UK energy sector? This company is a leading independent engineering and infrastructure business operating within the high voltage grid connection and utilities sector. They specialise in the design and delivery of complex electrical infrastructure projects supporting the UK's energy transition, including renewable generation, industrial connections and grid reinforcement schemes. In this role, you will take full responsibility for leading the engineering and design function across a portfolio of HV infrastructure projects. You will manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, ensuring all technical outputs meet client requirements, industry standards and regulatory compliance. You will act as the technical authority for the business, supporting bids, design reviews, stakeholder engagement and project delivery from concept through to energisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HV electrical design (typically up to 132kV or above), proven leadership experience and a strong understanding of UK DNO/TSO standards and grid connection processes. This is a key strategic role within a growing organisation, offering the opportunity to shape engineering standards, influence technical direction and play a major role in future business growth.
