Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for you next role teaching ENGLISH in a great school located in Redbridge? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with this Client, a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the borough of Redbridge, to appoint a passionate and committed English Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled English specialist to inspire a love of literature and language across Key Stages 3 and 4, within a supportive and ambitious school community. This Client is a well-established secondary school that has been recognised in its most recent Ofsted inspection for its strong leadership, inclusive culture, and improving outcomes for students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging English lessons, promoting high standards of literacy, reading, writing, and analytical skills. You will be expected to plan and deliver well-structured lessons, assess and track student progress, prepare learners for GCSE examinations, and contribute to departmental resources and enrichment activities such as reading clubs, writing workshops, and extracurricular opportunities. Job role requirements include teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, strong subject knowledge, the ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, effective classroom and behaviour management, and a commitment to raising attainment and progress for all learners. You should be confident in using assessment data to inform planning and intervention strategies. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, a degree in English or a closely related subject, and experience teaching English in a secondary school setting. A strong understanding of GCSE English specifications is essential. The successful teacher will be enthusiastic, reflective, and passionate about English, with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
