Teacher of English (0.8 FTE Part-Time) Location: Sutton Salary: M1-M6 (Main Pay Scale, pro rata) Contract: Permanent Hours: 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English with a passion for inspiring young people to develop a love of language and literature? My client is a high-performing all-girls' grammar school with academy status, renowned for its academic excellence, strong values, and commitment to student success. The Role They are seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher of English to join their successful and forward-thinking English department on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE). Key responsibilities include: • Planning and delivering engaging, challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. • Inspiring students to develop strong literacy, analytical, and communication skills through the study of language and literature. • Using a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners and maximise student progress. • Monitoring and assessing student achievement, providing high-quality feedback and targeted interventions where appropriate. • Contributing to curriculum development and sharing best practice within the English department. • Promoting high standards of behaviour, effort, and academic achievement. • Supporting the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral responsibilities as required. • Upholding the school's commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion.
