Job description

Responsibilities • Analyse listed European industrials (capital goods, engineering, aerospace & defence, automation, transportation) and produce high-conviction investment ideas. • Build, maintain and interrogate detailed financial models; apply DCF, sum-of-the-parts and relative value frameworks. • Conduct proprietary due diligence on industry fundamentals, including supply chains, capital cycles, pricing power and structural shifts. • Write concise research notes and thematic pieces (e.g., energy transition, reshoring, defence spending) and present to investment teams. • Meet company managements, attend site visits and industry conferences; manage relationships with IR and senior executives. • Share insights with portfolio managers and collaborate across the research platform to support investment decision-making. Requirements • Proven interest in equity investing with experience covering European industrials, capital goods or engineering. • Deep understanding of end-markets across automation, aerospace & defence, transportation infrastructure and related sectors. • Advanced financial modelling, valuation (DCF, SOTP, relative value) and accounting skills. • Highly organised and resilient under earnings-season deadlines. • Independent thinker with strong communication skills. • IMC (Unit 1) and CFA Level 1 or Full IMC (or willingness to obtain); role subject to FCA/PRA conduct rules.
