ESTATE OPERATIVE • Rendall & Rittner • £29,000 • Hurlingham Waterfront • 4 days on, 4 days off - ROLE OVERVIEW / DEVELOPMENT DETAILS You’ll be part of the opening team at Hurlingham Waterfront, a brand-new luxury riverside development of 224 apartments set across four elegant blocks near Wandsworth Bridge in South West London. Your working day unfolds across beautifully designed spaces including a spa, residents’ lounge, co-working areas and a striking 19-metre pool, alongside covered parking and 39,000 sq ft of sustainably planted private gardens. It’s a calm yet vibrant setting where high standards matter, with a diverse resident community who value service, sustainability and a boutique feel. From the riverfront walkways to lush courtyard gardens and premium amenity spaces, you’ll help present every area at a five-star, move-in-ready standard. ROLE EXPECTATIONS You will be the on-site heartbeat of the development, keeping communal and back-of-house areas pristine, safe and ready to use throughout the day. You’ll carry out cleaning, inspections and minor fixes, support waste and recycling, assist residents and contractors, and ensure the amenities and gardens are always presentation-perfect. You’ll use simple digital tools to log tasks, report issues and keep records up to date. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • Communal, amenity and garden areas look immaculate at all times, with issues spotted and resolved before residents notice. • Health and safety routines are completed on time with accurate records and zero avoidable non-conformances. • Residents and visitors feel welcomed, supported and informed, reflected in positive feedback. • Waste and recycling are handled efficiently and sustainably, with clean, tidy bin stores. • Contractors are supported and supervised appropriately so works are completed safely and to standard. • You communicate clearly with the on-site team and Property Manager, ensuring smooth handovers and no surprises. HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME • Carrying out scheduled cleaning, litter-picking and touch-point sanitising across lobbies, corridors, lifts and amenities. • Patrolling and inspecting interiors, exteriors and gardens, proactively identifying and reporting defects or hazards. • Managing waste and recycling, keeping stores clean, orderly and compliant. • Setting up, resetting and lightly maintaining the lounge, co-working and spa/pool-side areas so they’re guest-ready. • Supporting resident enquiries, moves and deliveries, and assisting contractors attending site. • Completing routine safety and compliance checks and keeping digital logs and handovers up to date. WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR • You take genuine pride in presentation and love creating welcoming, polished spaces. • You’re hands-on, reliable and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons. • You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure and enjoy helping people. • You’re organised, proactive and happy juggling a varied task list with shifting priorities. • You’re confident using a smartphone or tablet to log tasks and report issues. EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS • Working in residential estates, hospitality, leisure or premium commercial environments. • Cleaning and basic maintenance across communal areas, amenities and landscaped spaces. • Familiarity with health and safety routines, including COSHH, safe systems of work and incident reporting. • Experience with waste and recycling procedures and keeping back-of-house areas orderly. • Using facilities or maintenance apps to record tasks, defects and completed checks.
