Estimator – Bespoke Joinery & Furniture Job Title: Estimator – Specialist Joinery & Woodworking Job reference Number: Office Based: Guildford Remuneration: £38,000 - £40,000neg Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package The role of Estimator – Specialist Joinery & Woodworking will involve: • Estimator position dealing with a high end range of bespoke furniture & joinery projects for residential sectors (desks, panelling, furniture, cabinets, surfaces etc.) • Managing projects from initial enquiry through to final quotation, ensuring accurate and commercially viable pricing • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify scope, materials, quantities and project requirements • Producing detailed take-offs, BOQs and quotations within required deadlines • Estimating material, labour, manufacturing and installation costs • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain costs for specialist materials and outsourced requirements • Working closely with designers, architects, clients and production teams throughout the estimating process • Providing technical support, answering client queries and maintaining strong relationships • Supporting project handovers and monitoring costs through to completion The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Specialist Joinery & Woodworking with • Must have Estimating experience within the joinery, bespoke interior products, furniture market or closely related sectors • Great technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs • Highly organised with good attention to detail • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Computer literate (Microsoft Office) • Ability to work in a fast paced environment • Good team player who also works well individually Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Jobs, Construction vacancies and Specification positions within: Estimator, Estimating, Estimates, Contractors, Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Joinery, Cabinets, Furniture, Desks, Surfaces, Units, Counters, Fit-out, Interiors, Bespoke Joinery, Woodwork, Machinery, Fabrication, Commercial, Refurbishment, Retail Fit-Out, Shop Fit-Out, D&B, Manufacture, Contractors
