This Technical Operations Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing business at the forefront of major international sporting events, playing a key role in the delivery of one of the biggest tournaments in the world. THE ROLE This Hospitality Operations Manager role will take ownership of the operational planning and readiness for a portfolio of hospitality venues, ensuring every aspect of the guest experience is delivered to the highest standard. Working closely with suppliers, venue teams and internal departments, you'll oversee everything from venue inspections and furniture planning through to workforce management, accreditation and live event operations. As the tournament approaches, you'll transition into a Venue Manager role, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of your assigned venues. Responsibilities of the Hospitality Operations Manager include: • Lead venue inspections and operational readiness planning across assigned venues. • Develop venue operational plans, staffing strategies and readiness documentation. • Coordinate furniture, fixtures and equipment requirements, ensuring venues are fully prepared for delivery. • Manage supplier procurement, operational logistics and venue deliveries. • Oversee accreditation processes for suppliers, contractors and venue teams. • Recruit, train and manage venue operational staff and temporary workforce teams. • Coordinate uniforms, IT requirements and operational support services. • Work closely with Logistics, Procurement, Guest Services, Production and other internal teams to ensure seamless delivery. • Manage suppliers throughout planning and event delivery, ensuring quality standards are maintained. • Support operational issue resolution and ensure venues are delivered safely, on time and within budget. • Take responsibility for venue operations during the tournament as Venue Manager for assigned locations. THE CANDIDATE We are looking for an experienced operations professional with a background in major events, hospitality or venue management. You'll be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, coordinating suppliers and leading operational teams within a fast-paced environment.
