Job description

Experienced Client-Facing Paraplanner Salary up to £65k + discretionary bonus. City of London | Hybrid Working | Exceptional Career Progression Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for more than just report writing? We are seeking a highly skilled, client-facing Paraplanner to partner directly with a successful Director-level Financial Planner, playing a pivotal role in delivering outstanding financial planning experiences and life-changing outcomes for high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners. This is a rare opportunity to move beyond traditional paraplanning. You'll be actively involved throughout the entire client journey – attending meetings, contributing to strategy discussions, conducting complex research, preparing high-quality recommendations and supporting ongoing reviews. You'll become a trusted adviser to both clients and planners, helping shape sophisticated financial planning solutions across investments, pensions, protection and tax planning. What You'll Be Doing Working side-by-side with an accomplished Financial Planner, providing dedicated paraplanning and client support. Attending client meetings (virtual and face-to-face), preparing detailed meeting notes and driving actions through to completion. Producing technically robust suitability reports and recommendations across investments, pensions, protection and complex financial planning cases. Participating in annual client reviews, helping clients navigate changing circumstances and financial goals. Supporting Tax Year End planning initiatives and wider client projects. Collaborating with advisers, paraplanners and operational teams to deliver an exceptional client experience. Maintaining high standards of compliance, accuracy and record keeping. What We're Looking For • 3-5+ years' paraplanning experience within a financial planning environment. • Diploma qualified, with Chartered status in sight or actively progressing towards it. • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and financial planning solutions. • Experience supporting advisers and building trusted client relationships. • Excellent attention to detail and report-writing skills. • Confidence communicating with professional and high-net-worth clients. • Proficient with financial planning systems, CRM platforms and cashflow modelling tools such as Voyant. Why This Opportunity? You'll be joining a collaborative, ambitious and forward-thinking team where paraplanners are seen as genuine partners in the advice process, not just technical support. You'll enjoy meaningful client interaction, exposure to complex planning work and the opportunity to continue your journey towards Chartered status while working alongside some of the industry's top advisers. If you're passionate about delivering first-class client outcomes and want a role where your expertise, ideas and client skills are truly valued, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now to take your paraplanning career to the next level. Please send your CV to Ursula at Financial Divisions.
