Experienced Traffic Operator - 4on/4off

Following an initial 8-week training programme (Monday to Friday), you will transition to a 4-on / 4-off shift pattern. Why work for Maritime Transport? • Competitive salary • Annual salary review (discretionary). • Annual bonus (discretionary). • 20 days holiday from day 1. • Life assurance cover x3 from day 1. • Big discounts on MSC cruises for yourself, family and friends • Maritime weekly lottery (chance to win one thousand pounds every week) • Group personal pension. • Employee assistance programme. • You’ll be working for one of the market leaders Duties & Responsibilities: • Dealing with multiple drivers • Communicating with ports • Booking delivery slots for entry in ports • Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times • Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time • Rerouting jobs as and when is needed • Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system • Speaking to customers on possible delays advising eta We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following: • Previous experience as a Transport Operator – Essential • Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal • Must be happy to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern • Excellent UK geographical knowledge • Can work on own initiative • Quick and efficient problem-solving skills • Organised at all times • Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
