Job description

Your newrole: HaysConstruction & Property is working in partnership with a leading propertymaintenance business in the Sheffield area who are looking for a facilities& Maintenance Operative on a permanent basis. This is a fantasticopportunity to join a growing property management business, supporting aportfolio of residential and mixed-use properties across Sheffield and thesurrounding areas. As a hands-on Maintenance Operative, you will be responsiblefor delivering both planned and reactive maintenance works, carrying out voidproperty refurbishments, communal area improvements, and supporting widerproperty enhancement projects. The role offers a varied workload and would suitan experienced multi-skilled operative who takes pride in delivering high-qualityworkmanship and excellent customer service. Yourduties will include: Generalproperty repairs, painting and decorating, basic plumbing, joinery works,communal area maintenance, void property preparation, and supporting propertycompliance and safety programmes. Whatyou'll need to succeed: • Previous experience within property maintenance, facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar role. • Strong practical skills across painting and decorating, joinery, and general building repairs. • Basic plumbing knowledge and the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues. • Experience working within residential properties would be highly advantageous. • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Full UK driving license. • A proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach to maintenance.
