Job description

Family Law Senior Solicitor / Associate • Location: Glasgow, G2 • Job Type: Hybrid (On-site 2 days per week) A prestigious legal firm in central Glasgow is seeking a Family Law Senior Solicitor or Associate to join their dynamic Family Department and play a key role within the team. Day-to-day of the role: • Manage a diverse caseload involving high-value private law cases across Divorce, Finance, and Child Law. • Handle matters including financial provision, divorce, child custody, child relocation, and court of session work. • Work closely with clients who often have small businesses or complex matrimonial estates. • Engage in mediation and prepare various legal agreements such as pre-nuptial, post-nuptial, and separation agreements. • Provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues, enhancing supervision skills. Required Skills & Qualifications: • A qualified Solicitor with ideally 3+ years post-qualification experience in Family Law (others are encouraged to apply.) • Strong background in managing high-value, private law cases. • Experience in financial provision, divorce, and child-related cases. • Interest and capability to train in mediation. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of nurturing client relationships and mentoring junior staff. • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working autonomously or as part of a team.
