Senior Family Lawyer / Associate | Wiltshire (Hybrid working)

Are you an experienced Family Lawyer looking for a fresh challenge within a modern, supportive, and highly regarded law firm?
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and growing family law team within a successful regional practice known for its excellent reputation, collaborative culture, and commitment to delivering exceptional client care.
You’ll be joining a close-knit and experienced family department with strong administrative support and a varied pipeline of quality private family work. This role would suit a confident and commercially minded solicitor or legal executive looking to take the next step in their career within a firm that genuinely values its people and promotes long-term progression.
What you’ll be doing:
• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters from instruction through to conclusion
• Handling divorce and dissolution proceedings, financial remedy matters, and private children cases
• Advising on pre and post nuptial agreements, separation agreements, and cohabitation matters
• Managing non-molestation and occupation order proceedings
• Providing strategic, practical, and client-focused legal advice throughout the process
• Drafting pleadings, agreements, and complex court documentation
• Conducting advocacy where appropriate and negotiating settlements using NCDR methods
• Maintaining excellent standards of compliance, client care, and file management
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where required
• Playing a key role in the continued growth and development of the department
About you:
• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years PQE
• Extensive experience across all areas of private family law
• Confident managing complex and sensitive matters independently
• Strong technical knowledge of family law and procedure
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Compassionate, solutions-focused, and client-centric approach
• Organised, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure
• Supervisory experience would be advantageous
• Resolution membership, mediation, or collaborative law experience beneficial but not essential
