Family Solicitor
Location: Preston
A fantastic Legal 500 firm is seeking a talented Family Solicitor to join its thriving Private Family team.
This is a standout opportunity to work within a highly collaborative and supportive environment, handling a diverse and high-quality caseload of privately funded family matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, private children disputes and domestic abuse cases
• Representing clients in family court proceedings and hearings where appropriate
• Providing clear, practical legal advice both verbally and in writing
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures
• Assisting with the ongoing development and improvement of team processes and services
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, while supporting business development initiatives
About You
• Qualified Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with relevant family law practice rights (or equivalent)
• Experience working within a private family law team
• Strong background in handling divorce, financial matters, private children work, domestic abuse and related court proceedings
• Working knowledge of Legal Aid
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A professional, client-focused approach aligned with firm values
Desirable:
• Experience undertaking your own advocacy
• Involvement in business development activities, including networking and client relationship building
