Field Sales Executive (Gas)

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established LPG and cylinder gas supplier with the recruitment of a Field Sales Executive. The business supplies gas cylinders from its Kings Norton base in Birmingham. Permanent position. This role will be based in Kings Norton and will involve regular travel to meet prospective and existing customers. Salary Circa £30,000 basic salary + commission Expected OTE of £35,000–£38,000 + fuel allowance Key Responsibilities • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the company’s target markets. • Promote the business and its range of propane and butane gas cylinders. • Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals and field-based sales activity. • Arrange and attend meetings with prospective commercial customers. • Develop business with forklift operators and other companies requiring cylinder gas supplies. • Build a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities. • Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and close new business. • Manage the complete sales process from initial contact through to account activation. • Develop strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers. • Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts. • Represent and promote the company across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. • Support marketing activity, including local promotions, campaigns and customer outreach. • Monitor competitor activity and identify potential areas for business growth. • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer contact and pipeline progress. • Provide regular updates on new business activity, sales performance and market feedback. Skills & Experience • Previous field sales or similar experience within gas, oil, fuel, energy industry • Knowledge of propane, butane, LPG, cylinder gas or commercial fuel products. • An established understanding of the relevant customer market would be highly advantageous. • Ability to generating leads, winning new clients and closing sales. • Strong prospecting, negotiation and relationship-management skills. • Ability to work independently and manage a geographical sales territory. • Comfortable supporting promotional and marketing activity. • Full UK driving licence.
