Job description

Finance Analyst | Canterbury | Paying circa £55k This is a highly visible role that combines financial analysis, business partnering, dashboard development and month-end accounting responsibilities. You'll work closely with operational leaders to understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and drive meaningful cost-saving initiatives. The Role Key responsibilities will include: • Developing and maintaining Excel reporting dashboards. • Producing insightful analysis to support business performance and decision-making. • Partnering with operational and manufacturing teams to understand costs, efficiencies and key performance drivers. • Identifying and delivering cost-saving and process improvement initiatives. • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities. • Analysing manufacturing costs, labour efficiency, overheads and production variances. • Assisting with month-end close, reconciliations and management reporting. • Producing KPI reporting and performance analysis for senior management. • Automating and improving financial reporting processes through the effective use of systems and data. • Providing clear financial insight and recommendations to non-finance stakeholders. About You You will ideally have: • Experience within a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Finance Business Partner role. • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, modelling and data manipulation. • Experience creating dashboards in Power BI. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes. • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders. • Manufacturing, engineering or product-based industry experience would be advantageous. • A professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or active studies towards qualification would be beneficial.
