Job description

Looking for a role where you’re valued for your reliability and attention to detail? Join a well-established business based at its Nursling site, supporting a friendly and collaborative finance team. As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you’ll be the steady hand that keeps the numbers in check, surrounded by people who genuinely have each other’s backs. If you want to be part of a team where everyone gets it, where your work is appreciated, and where you can bring your experience to a business that values accuracy and a no-nonsense approach, this is the one to look at. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for: • Managing the purchase ledger from end to end • Processing around 100 invoices per week onto the system • Raising purchase orders and posting fuel invoices • Reconciling supplier statements and supporting payment runs as you settle in • Handling bank reconciliations and liaising internally for approvals • Uploading weekly payroll data for 50 staff (with outsourced processing) • Managing the daily accounts inbox and resolving queries What you will need: • Previous experience in a similar finance role (Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Finance Officer) • AAT qualification would be great, but not necessary • Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems is a bonus • A methodical approach, strong organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail • The ability to communicate well and go the extra mile in a practical, down-to-earth team What you will get: • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays • Salary sacrifice pension scheme • Study support for your professional development • Free on-site parking • Flexible working hours If you would like to find out more about this role, please apply with your CV or LinkedIn PDF.
