Job description

Operations Finance Business Partner North Birmingham | £50,000 to £55,000 + 10% bonus | Hybrid working I’m exclusively partnered with a well known manufacturing business based in North Birmingham looking to add an Operational Finance Business Partner into their high calibre team. Part of a much larger group, they combine real backing and stability with a hands on, fast paced operational environment. You’ll be mentored by the hugely successful Finance Director, with a mapped out progression plan to Financial Controller. This is a genuinely broad, business partnering focused role. You'll get close to the operational side of the business, work directly with senior stakeholders, and have real input into decisions that matter. The Role • Produce weekly and monthly management accounts, with clear and insightful variance analysis • Business partner operational leaders, acting as their trusted finance contact and challenging performance where needed • Own product and process costings, ensuring accuracy and driving improvements where opportunities exist • Take ownership of the budget and rolling forecast process, working closely with operations to build robust, realistic numbers • Monitor and report on key operational KPIs, flagging trends and risks to the leadership team early • Track and report on waste, working with operational teams to understand drivers and identify reduction opportunities • Support ad hoc analysis and projects for the operations and finance leadership team About You • Part qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) – if part qualified, at least 3+ years in an analytical role with the desire to continue study • Confident business partnering non finance stakeholders, with the ability to challenge and influence • Comfortable owning costing and forecasting processes independently • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insight • A proactive communicator who's happy to get close to the operational side of the business
