Job description

We are seeking an experienced, organised, and proactive Finance Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a standalone role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organisation's finance function while working closely with management. Key Responsibilities • Manage financial records and bookkeeping using Xero Accounting Software • Administer parental fees, funding claims, invoicing, and payment collection processes • Issue fee invoices and follow up outstanding payments • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss reports, budgets, forecasts, and other management reports as required • Manage billing, payments, petty cash, and financial control procedures • Calculate staff working hours and holiday entitlements and liaise with payroll • Process new starter documentation, issue P45s and P60s, and calculate final salaries for leavers • Liaise with auditors and provide financial information as required • Manage supplier payments and maintain good relationships with service providers • Ensure accurate financial records are maintained at all times Essential Requirements • Strong bookkeeping and management accounting knowledge • Previous experience using Xero Accounting Software • Excellent organisational and communication skills • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and manage a standalone finance function • Professional, reliable, and able to meet deadlines Benefits • 28 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays • Workplace pension scheme • Paid monthly salary • 50% childcare discount for employees' children • Friendly and supportive working environment To Apply We encourage early applications as the position is available for an immediate start.
