Job description

Robertson Bell is delighted to be partnering with a well-established charity to recruit a Part-Time Finance Officer on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive finance team within a growing organisation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, with a particular focus on purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and payment processing. This role is ideally suited to someone who can hit the ground running, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a varied part-time position within a collaborative finance team. The RoleReporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for: • Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently. • Preparing BACS payment runs and supporting ad hoc payments. • Completing supplier statement and bank reconciliations. • Resolving supplier queries and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Supporting month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments and other finance processes. • Producing ad hoc reports and providing wider support across the finance team. The PersonWe're looking for someone who can make an immediate impact and enjoys working in a busy finance environment. You'll ideally have: • At least two years' experience within a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or Finance Officer role. • Strong experience processing invoices, completing bank reconciliations and preparing payment runs. • Experience using Sage 50 is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage, enabling you to get up to speed quickly. • Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail. • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines. Sector experience isn't essential. Our client is looking for someone with strong transactional finance experience, excellent systems knowledge and the ability to settle into the role quickly.
