Job description

Financial Management Information Officer • Location: Bolton • Job Type: Temporary, Full-time, Hybrid • Salary: £18.24 per hour We are seeking a Financial Management Information Officer to assist in the accurate preparation and maintenance of the Department’s budgets. This role involves regular monitoring of specific service areas of the Department’s Revenue Budget to ensure appropriate control and review of financial performance throughout the year. The ideal candidate will provide crucial advice to budget holders and assist in the development of financial training within the department. Day-to-day of the role: • Assist in the accurate preparation and maintenance of the Department’s budgets. • Undertake regular, timely, and accurate monitoring of specific service areas of the Department’s Revenue Budget. • Provide advice to and liaise with a range of budget holders to ensure optimal use of the Department’s financial resources. • Develop, maintain, and provide financial information for budget holders, including unit costs and budget monitoring information. • Assist in the preparation of final accounts and the Revenue Budget for specified areas. • Deliver formal and informal financial training to staff. • Create and maintain effective communication with the budget unit and other relevant staff from the department. • Contribute to the development of computer-based resource systems relevant to the role. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Ability to produce, evaluate, and interpret financial management information regularly. • Must be able to work to deadlines and manage time effectively. • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Proactive problem-solving skills with a challenging approach to financial management issues. • Full or part-qualified AAT/IIA or equivalent. • Experience in creating and maintaining spreadsheets for financial analysis. • Experience in preparing financial management information.
