Fish Dock Manager - Torridge District Council

• £31,537 - £34,434 per annum, pro rata (actual salary £12,614 - £13,773 per annum)
Are you an experienced maritime professional looking for a varied and rewarding leadership role on the North Devon coast? Torridge District Council is seeking a Fish Dock Manager to oversee the safe, compliant and efficient operation of Appledore Fish Dock and the operational use of the quay at AMIC (Appledore Marine Innovation Centre).
This is a hands-on management position with responsibilities including health and safety, environmental compliance, financial management and the day-to-day running of the fish dock facilities. Working closely with the Harbour Master and a wide range of partners, you will help support the local fishing industry while ensuring compliance with maritime and fisheries legislation.
We are looking for someone with:
• Previous harbour and maritime experience.
• Experience managing a fish dock facility.
• Strong knowledge of the fishing industry and relevant regulations.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
• MCA Basic Safety Training (essential).
