Food Technician - Full-Time | GreenwichLocation: Greenwich, London Hours: 5 days per week | Full-time Are you an experienced Food Technician with a strong knowledge of food technology, practical skills, and a passion for supporting young people in their learning? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technician to join a welcoming and supportive school in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a lovely school environment, with excellent opportunities for professional growth, development, and career progression. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Food Technician or similar role, alongside strong practical and technical knowledge within the field. A relevant degree or qualification is preferred. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and organise food ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical lessons. • Support teaching staff and students during food technology and practical sessions. • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety. • Manage and maintain food technology equipment and stock. • Assist with ordering and monitoring supplies and resources. • Ensure the food technology facilities are safe, organised, and well maintained. • Provide practical support to students, helping them develop their skills and confidence. The Ideal Candidate: • Previous experience working as a Food Technician or in a relevant food-related role. • Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, hygiene, and health and safety. • A relevant degree or qualification is desirable. • Excellent organisational and practical skills. • A proactive, reliable, and positive approach to work. • The ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff and students.
