Forklift Engineer

AR889 – Forklift Engineer Location: Glasgow Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 + Overtime + Benefits Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to long/short term machines and customers owned equipment. Ensuring best practice with quality and professionalism are met at all times and to maintain customer satisfaction. Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, all candidates will be considered. Duties and Responsibilities: • Service, maintain, and repair forklift trucks and materials handling equipment (MHE / plant) • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on-site • Complete job sheets, service reports, and tablet-based documentation • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and van stock • Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships • Identify additional service or repair opportunities • Participate in standby/on-call rota • Follow all health & safety procedures Skills and Qualifications: • Experience as a Forklift Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Mobile Engineer / Plant Engineer / HGV Technician or similar • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills • Experience working on forklift trucks or materials handling equipment (highly desirable) • Full UK driving licence • Good communication and customer service skills Location: Glasgow Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 + Overtime + Benefits
